PhD and Postdoc Positions available in Embedded Systems for Electromobility in Megacities

 

Project Background:

Technische Universität München (TUM) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore have signed a long-term agreement for the TUM CREATE Centre for Electromobility in Megacities. This research cooperation will work on all relevant topics regarding electric mobility. The focus of TUM CREATE will be the implementation of e-mobility in a tropical Megacity with its special requirements regarding climate, infrastructure and users. Several institutes from TUM and NTU are taking part in this interfaculty project and will do fundamental and technology research in the areas energy storage, information technology, engineering and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • investigation of novel hardware architectures for the automotive domain
  • bus protocols and in-vehicle communication networks
  • formal methods for design and optimization of automotive architectures
  • interface concepts based for vehicles on Android
  • embedded battery management

Requirements for PhD students:

  •  Excellent diploma/master degree in computer science or computer engineering or any related technical discipline (or equivalent)
  • Willingness for a long-term stay abroad in Singapore
  • Languages: English(fluent), knowledge of the German language is desirable
  • Experience with automotive topics or industrial topics a plus

Requirements for Postdocs:

  • Excellent PhD degree in computer science or computer engineering or any related technical discipline (or equivalent)
  • Willingness for a long-term stay abroad in Singapore
  • Languages: English(fluent), German(fluent)
  • Profound experience of automotive topics and experience with industry cooperations
