Modular Airborne Real-Time Testbed (MART)

We introduce MART-i, the first instance of our Modular Airborne Real-Time Testbed, built to support a broad spectrum of our research activities. MART-i is a self-composed quadrocopter configuration, which is completely open for modifications and extensions in both hardware and software. It is used to test new technologies, and verify the performance of theoretic predictions.

Using a quadrocopter for designing, implementing and verifying novel technologies brings in several key aspects, such as real-time requirements, which make it both a challenging and realistic benchmark for our research activities.
