Power Consumption in Multi-core Processors

Prof. M. Balakrishna

Power consumption in processors has become a major concern and clearly that has been one key factor behind the growth of multi-core processors. In this talk we would start by describing processor power consumption issues as well as motivations for low power multi-core processors. We would describe our recent research efforts focused on multi-core power estimation.
